Honoring the Trees That Build More Than Structures

Every sheet of hardwood plywood begins long before the mill, before the press, before the sander, before the finish line hums to life. It begins in the forest, where time works slowly and quietly, stacking strength ring by ring.

On Arbor Day, Freestone Forest Products pauses to recognize the trees at the heart of our work, and the responsibility that comes with turning a natural material into something useful, beautiful, and lasting.

Wood is not just a raw material. It is shelter, craft, cabinetry, furniture, architecture, memory, and sometimes the stubborn little offcut someone refuses to throw away because “it might be useful later.” We get it. Respect the scrap. 

Today, we celebrate the forests that make our industry possible, the people who manage them, the makers who shape them, and the customers who choose wood for its warmth, strength, and character.

From forest to panel, from veneer to finished product, we are proud to be part of a craft rooted in stewardship, skill, and good old-fashioned sawdust-earned respect.
